Process-posting 3/?: Inspirations! The seeds of Lunasea were planted in my mind at the tender age of 12 or so, when I read the Larklight series and fell in love with the idea of space as an alien ecosystem that could be sailed like the sea. This setting usually goes along with a stempunk story (see Dirt Poor Robins' Queen of the Night), but I liked the idea of exploring the biology of an alien ecosystem, especially after reading Annihilation and Hell's Heart. I don't have a copy of Our Wives Under The Sea, but you get my drift. My last test before diving in (har har) was to set a story on a Moon full of fish and fog and sexy aliens, and see how it played with a few Thirsty Sword Lesbians via the magic of RPG. Based on the quality of their art (slide 3,4 😍) I'd say this idea has legs - or maybe fins.

Process-posting 2/?: I am slowly discarding my improvisational ways and getting used to the horrible process of making an outline 🤢 this is especially important for this new project, working title "Lunasea", which is a little different from my typical beast and needs careful planning to be pulled off. I discovered the need for a third character, the Director, through this process! Wrote down all my planned scenes on cards that match the relevant character's plotline, and will start arranging soon.

Here I go again! While I'm trying very hard this year to focus on publishing and getting my writing out there, I can't deny that the fun part is actually the writing. I have a couple projects in the works (you've seen them here before in early stages!) and I thought it would be fun to post about my process. Step 1: a nice clean workspace. Priorities: $100 keyboard, $300 laptop 💀
